Goddess Designs

For more than 40,000 years, the Goddess has been worshipped in various forms by cultures around the world. Ancient cultures saw the Goddess in many roles including the three aspects of the maiden, mother and crone. The Goddess in these various forms nurtured and provided for the people from birth through death and beyond. Today few remaining cultures focus their spirituality on the Feminine. Instead, for the past 8-9,000 years most of the world's religions and philosophies, East and West, have reflected a change to a Law-oriented theology based on a Supreme masculine God whose basic tenet is the inferiority and inherent evil nature of the Feminine (Goddess/Nature) resulting in a male-dominated society. In some cultures the awareness of the duality/balance of the masculine and the feminine has always been present, although not always exemplified. The true sages have known and taught the path of balance and the dangers of walking an unbalanced path. Humankind has been focused for far too long on a single path, ignoring the balance. We are currently reaping the effects personally, socially and environmentally of our repression of the principles of the Feminine. We are now experiencing a resurgence of the Goddess (Feminine) in our world. The Women's Movement and Human Rights in general, the expression of global freedom, environmental awareness, increased interest in spirituality and metaphysics are demonstrations of this new awareness. The Fusion of both the masculine (linear outward action) and the feminine (cyclic introspection) in our selves and our society is vital to the future well-being of our civilization and our planet as a whole. This union will create the spiral synergy which will allow our world to evolve with elegance to a new level of consciousness.
